What comes to mind when you think of World War II propaganda? Maybe a poster urging American parents to purchase war bonds, or possibly the famous Uncle Sam poster, stating â€Å"I Want YOU For U.S. Army. Although both of these examples of American propaganda posters were effective, Walt Disney was even more so. Now, I know what you re thinking, Walt Disney created harmless cartoons such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, not wartime propaganda. However, Disney actually created some of the most effective pieces of propaganda during the second world war and he did this through animation shorts such as Education for Death (1943). Education for Death is a ten minute short that displays the â€Å"making of a Nazi†, by following the life of Hans, a young boy born in Nazi Germany. With that being said, my paper will address how the medium of animation was used to comment on a particular historical event; in this case, wartime propaganda in World War II. In addition, through analyzin g the animation style and narrative of this short, it will become clear as to why Education for Death impacted and socialized individuals so effectively. To better understand why Education for Death was particularly effective during World War II, we must understand the goal of propaganda as a whole. Having said this, stereotypes are at the core of all propaganda efforts and aim to create the perception that â€Å"we† are honorable and the enemy is dishonorable. In Jane Austen’s Persuasion love and family is a major thing I learned to see and control just because of this book. Jane Austen is a very interesting woman. She is 7 out of 8 kids. Her sister and her Cassandra were very close. Both had plenty of chances of marring and having a family. By 25, she had written 3 books, Persuasion not being one of them. She had written her last book in 1818, Persuasion. In my eyes Jane was a normal England girl. She was homed school, had a big loving family, and perused her dream. She didn’t get the respect she deserved, but did write pretty good books. Jane passed away July 18. 1817, she died of Addison’s disease which is a deadly disease. Soon her health became bad; she had gotten Addison’s disease. Her grave site never gave her props of being an author. Persuasion and Northanger Abby were published in December 1817. Henery gave her a â€Å"biographical notice† saying she was the author of all these great books. (Sutherland) Some love her some hate her, but Jane Austen is actually loved by many. Some call her a heroine and a heroine is a woman admired of idealized for her courage, outstand achievements, or noble qualities. She just might be a hero to some people. She is very relevant because she talks about stuff that people go through till this day. Like love, money, friendship, and family. I’ve read a lot of websites and they all say she writes with a great sense of irony, humor, and realism. She had real life characters, and real life situations. Who wouldn’t love an author lik e that who talks about stuff that we are going through, plus she died in 1817. Like people went through what we did almost 200 hundred years ago! Managing Project Teams Social Influence

Question: Disucus about theManaging Project Teamsfor Social Influence. Answer: Robert Cialdinis Six Principles of Influence for Influencing others Behaviors are: Commitment and Consistency Human beings have deep need for consistency and commitment towards something is what they follow to maintain that consistency. This principle can be supported with the example of the sales profession, where the marketer gets the customers to commit to something small that would ultimately propel them towards bigger commitments (Cialdini and Cliffe 2012). Authority Humans tend to obey authoritative figures, and feel a sense of obligation and duty towards them in all situations. An example that supports this principle are the Milgram experiments, where subjects torture other people with electric shocks just because they are instructed to do so by any authoritative figure. Liking Cialdini declares that humans are more prone to influence by people they like, and that might come in the form of familiarity, trust or similarity (Guadagno et al. 2013). Tupperware parties are good examples of the principle that the public would probably buy if they like the individual selling to them. Social Proof Cialdini has defined this as being based on the idea of safety, as people are persuaded to do what they observe other people doing, especially in moments of uncertainty. For instance, if coworkers work late, then we would too to comply. Scarcity Scarcity persuades consumers to perceive something as attractive and act quickly, as they feel they would miss it. This principle can be mostly found in advertisements with taglines as limited period offer. Reciprocity Humans generally want to return favors and repay. In sales world, this can be seen in the form of an added free gift. All these principles successfully assist in measuring influence and persuasion.
